"Ho'okipa" means, "To welcome, or entertain"

Ho'okipa ukuleles: Hawai'ian style!

Hawai'ian style is understated, never pretentious. It respects natural materials, tradition, and the environment.  All instruments are finished with gun stock oil, made to protect wood from the elements. It also can be renewed, and facilitates repairs. Hold an instrument and feel yourself in contact with the living tree, not separated from it by a hard, glassy finish. I aim for a percussive, warm, woody sound using beautiful Hawaiian tone woods of mango and koa.  These instruments showcase magnificent wood, and each is meant as a life companion, keeping you company with music all along your way, until you pass it on to a new generation. Let your legacy be music!

"Ho'okipa" is a Hawai'ian verb which means "to welcome, or entertain" : Two things the ukulele does so well!
